I just had to share the conversation I had with Gracie last night. She comes up with the craziest stuff!
Gracie: Mommy, did you know that when people gets old they get all gray?
Me: What?!
G: Yeah, they get gray all on them.
Me: Gray? Oh, you mean like their hair turns gray?
G: No-oh (like she’s annoyed that I don’t get it) They just get all gray like right here (points to her back of her hand). Gray. Like that. And like right here (pointing to her arm) and all over. Like JuJu’s gray. {Long pause here because I’m trying to hold my laughter in, Then:}
(nodding her head convincingly) And that means that she’s getting old, that’s what that means.
Me: Oh no! Am I gonna turn all gray?
G: No, cuz you’re just white…and I’m brown.
Me: Silly, you’re not brown, you’re white like me (I hold my arm up next to her to show her we’re the same color)
G: (very matter-of-factly) No I’m not. I’m brown, like Grammy.
