Happy 6th Birthday, Evan!!!

Wow! I can not believe it has been 6 years already! There are no words to describe how blessed and thankful mommy and daddy are to have you in our lives! You are truly a gift from God. We are so proud of you and the little man you are becoming. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!

"Live With It"

Conversation in the car bringing Gracie home from school today:

Me: "What'd you do at school today?"

Gracie: "Just play outside"

Me: "You didn't do anything else? Did you paint?"

Gracie: "No."

Me: "Aw, why not? Mommy wanted you to paint her a picture today"

(No response)

So I continue: "You love to paint at home. You should paint at school, too. Mommy is so sad that you didn't paint her a picture."

Gracie: (without missing a beat and in a very sweet voice) "Well...you can just live with it, Mommy"

Me: (laughing) "Live with it? You mean, like, 'deal with it'?"

Gracie: "Yeah. Live with it"

So funny!! And she's only 3!!!! Can't wait to see what she comes up with when she's 13! At least she said it nicely... =)
