So, Evan has started Kindergarten already...I can't believe it! It has been over two weeks and I still can't believe it! He has already learned how to spell and read the words "the, red, yellow, see, one, two and blue." He already knew how to spell the words "stop, go, on, no, and of course Evan Rice." Pretty good progress for two weeks! To help learn responsibility each student gets a job for a couple of weeks at a time. Evan was the line leader for the first week and a half, and just this past week he became "the weather man," which is a job he LOVES! He gets to go outside and see what the weather is like then come back in to report to the class and change the weather magnets on the board. He hopes his next job will be cleaning the tables after lunch. Wow, is he related to his daddy or what??!
Here are a couple of pictures from his first day of school...and don't worry, he got a new backpack for his birthday that is more his size!!
Oh, Gracie has decided to place herself in the storage ottoman, guess that's my cue to stop typing!
